I have been reading about diet and food. There is loads of information about all sorts, but what continues to impress . . . is porridge! It is easy to make – half a cup of oats, to a cup of water – in the pan, and as Ramsey would say ‘Done!’ You can add seeds, nuts and berries to make it that bit more super (and avoids the sugar).

The nutritional benefits of porridge are numerous, including lowering cholesterol, it contains minerals and vitamins, and it warms you up. Porridge in chinese medicine is said to  strengthen digestion, stop diarrhea and loose stools, lower blood pressure and aid sweating (for example, if you have just caught a chill or crick in the neck).

So if you want to make a simple change and feel so much better then try porridge
